Mares shows its sporting spirit at the B2Run
The fifth company championship B2Run kick started in Hamburg. According to the motto “Movement, team building and fun” five of our employees ran straight from the office onto the course through Altonaer Volkspark.
The B2Run welcomes all runners whether beginners or professionals. A total of 6200 runners participated supporting donations to “RTL-Wir helfen Kindern” [RTL – we help children]. 10 cents is donated for every kilometre completed of the B2Run in eleven cities across Germany. B2Run is not only about speed, but there are awards such as “the fittest person” and “the fastest person” among others and there is also a prize for the most original team with the most creative outfit.
The sports fanatics were cheered on by around 2000 spectators along the 6km course. The runners were rewarded by finishing in the Imtech Arena – the home stadium of HSV (Hamburg Football Club) and one of the largest arenas in Germany. Our sportsmen and women demonstrated our team and sporting spirit with an average race time of 32 minutes.
We already eagerly await a repeat of this event next year. Firstly we are looking forward to the upcoming Mopo-Team relay race in August and we are training on vigorously!
